War in Heaven by.....Spiritual Revolutionary.
I am just getting started on this one.......... but I thought that some of you might want to dig into this at the same time that I do so.

This might go a long way toward explaining what a "spirit of religion" is that I have heard my wife refer to?????!

DennisTate, #1: I just reread the entire thread page in your link, and I recommend that anyone who is considering reading the WIH book do the same. My own advice to such people is that the book was written to be read from beginning to end once, and that anyone who reads passages here and there without knowledge of the original context is going to have great difficulty in understanding their actual meaning.

#2: I just read the message in your link, and I tend to disagree with the opinions from Tom Campbell and A. E. Powell cited by Gelecski7238. I grew up around traditional Western spiritualists, so I was exposed to conclusions like these from an early age and was never very comfortable with them. My natural tendency was to prefer the more literal views of reincarnation and karma presented in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, that assume the human soul is an astral body that spends time in the disembodied state and then enters a new body, retaining lots of knowledge about previous lives which usually remain inaccessable to the conscious mind. When I did the channelings for the WiH book, I received a lot of detailed information on this subject, which are scattered all over the text. And since I got back on line in 2005, I have channeled a lot more details of this type, which are also scattered through the messages posted on my RS Yuku Community. My Guides have always advised me NOT to gather them together all in one coherent piece of writings, simply because it would be too easy for readers to consider them a body of doctrine worth accepting on faith ... which is the last thing the Invisible College wants people to do.

DennisTate, #4, re: "I quote you again in post #53 here... AboveAlpha replied... You are linked in again in post #59... http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=422285&page=6&p=1066097028#post1066097028 ... Thread: Do you believe in the Paranormal?"

Here's a copy of the quotation, which is from Chapter 1 of the "War in Heaven"

"31 Did you ever wonder why practically all mediums communicate with the majority of spirits indirectly? Both the old-fashioned Spiritualist mediums and the New Age channeling mediums have spirit guides who assist them in finding and communicating with other spirits, but very few are willing to tell you bluntly why they have to operate this way. The reason is very simple: most spirits on the astral plane are in mental states that we'd label as insane or feeble-minded in a living person. They mumble in baby talk or rave like schizophrenics. Their thoughts ramble and get lost in time like those of a person with Alzheimer's disease. They contradict themselves as if their memories had been scrambled up with the contents of someone else's mind. And above all, they act sick, drunk, or drugged. Some say they are in severe pain; others are frightened; still others are calm, but it's the sickly calm of a person who has taken a heavy dose of morphine or Thorazine."

32 If you've experimented with Ouija boards, there's an excellent chance you've spoken to spirits in this condition. And though the mediumistic literature does mention frequent contacts with "lost souls," "earthbound spirits, "entities from the lower astral," etc., it rarely describes them in detail or reveals that the vast majority of spirits the mediums contact are in this category. The plain truth is that if you're going to accomplish anything at all as a medium, you have to work through a spirit guide."

This phenomenon is not as common now as it was when the WiH book went into circulation in 1988, because there is far less harassment of newly arrived souls by spirits with theocratic intentions, but IMO, it's still a good idea to have a Spirit Guide. It's just a matter of having a professional available if you needs adivce, as one consults a doctor for medical diagnosis or a lawyer for legal advice.

Yes! I recommend everyone reading this click on your link and read Chapter 9 for themselves. I've already posted quotations from it on a number of threads both here on the FMRR Group and on other communities, and IMO, there is some real wisdom in it...

Yes........... I am amazed by the way that he got into so many controversial topics
in such a diplomatic manner.

Christian Andreason is a natural diplomat who is bringing thousands of people
over to a new way of looking at the universe and their place in it.
